Ergonomic facelift for the classic MB reusable container from BITO Storage Systems
This year marks the 30th anniversary of BITO's MB reusable containers, which have been on the market for 30 years. In addition to the front sides, the two long sides are now also equipped with handle strips as additional gripping aids.
30 years of BITO MB reusable containers
For 30 years, the conical BITO MB reusable container has been one of the most popular container series from BITO Storage Systems. It is a nestable, sustainable and space-saving storage, order picking and transport container. Stacked inside each other, the space required for storage or transport of the empty containers is reduced by 75%. It is particularly robust and therefore very durable, withstanding hundreds of cycles and can therefore be returned to the logistics cycle again and again. Using BITO's reusable container solution eliminates the need for a lot of disposable packaging and the associated time-consuming procurement processes, saves time for repacking and avoids a lot of packaging waste, which has a positive effect on the environment and a company's carbon footprint. The contents in the container are safely protected from external influences such as moisture, dirt or other damage. Despite its stability, the high-quality plastic box has a low tare weight, making it easy to handle. The smooth inner walls are easy to clean and simple to keep clean, and the container can withstand container washing systems at up to 80°C at the top. It is suitable for both manual and automated use and has already won multiple awards for function and design. Furthermore, like all BITO plastic containers, the BITO MB reusable container is recyclable.
The classic reusable container with an ergonomic facelift
The classic reusable container from BITO Storage Systems has been given an ergonomic facelift and additional gripping aids have been added to the two long sides, in addition to the front sides. This makes handling even more ergonomic, since the side handles make it easier to manually remove the nested boxes from each other when operating them from the front side. Recesses in the longitudinal handle strips also make it easier to stack and unstack the containers in automated systems.
The ergonomic facelift has been carried out on some of the container sizes in the MB container series, but the newly revised system remains compatible with the existing BITO MB reusable containers.
Also suitable for automatic storage systems
Another new feature is the recessed barcode area. This prevents the labels or barcodes on the containers from being damaged when touched from the side. The BITO MB reusable container is now also optionally available with water drainage holes in the base and in the four side walls for use in automatic warehouses.
BITO MB relies on proven features
All the other proven features of the MB container series from BITO Storage Systems, such as the lockable hinged lid, the slip lid, tamper-evident seals for secure protection against unauthorised access to goods, individual interior fittings for additional security when storing contents, digital tracking and shipment tracing options, individual colouring and printability of the containers, remain unchanged.
