Beverage retailer FRISTO opts for a pallet live storage system with order picking tunnels


Our customer

FRISTO, a medium-sized company, has been successfully operating beverage markets for over 50 years. The success story began in 1970 when the first FRISTO beverage store opened in Nuremberg. Since then, new generations of beverage markets have been designed, the sales area has been consolidated and additional regions have been developed.
FRISTO is represented with over 228 stores in 8 federal states in Germany as well as in Austrian Tyrol. The customer needed a logistical solution which was successfully implemented at various sites such as in Zimmern ob Rottweil.
Initial situation and customer requirements
- More than 965 reference lines must be held in stock.
- More than 200,000 beverage crates have to be delivered to over 31 stores in southern Baden.
- Order processing is to be optimised to shorten response times.
- FIFO stock rotation, as best before dates must be adhered to.
