• LIFO principle

Items stored last are retrieved first

The principle

The last goods stored in a rack are the first to be retrieved: The LiFo (last in, first out) principle is most often used for goods with a long shelf life or those held in large quantities. This storage option represents an efficient alternative to block storage - and is particularly well suited for careful storage of pressure sensitive items.

The ideal storage systems for realising the LiFo principle are used as push-in racks: BITO live storage racks for cartons or pallets, BITO pallet shuttle systems and BITO drive-in racks.
